Would a second industrial be too much?

I got an industrial piercing 6 months ago in my right ear. I am so glad I did. I love it so much. I have been toying with getting one in my left ear. My bf (who isn't into piercings) said it would be overkill and part of me agrees. But another part thinks it would look symmetrical (I dig symmetry). What are some other opinions out there?
