What is the word equation and complete balanced chemical equation for the soda-lime process?

I have an ignment in chemistry cl and it asks us to write a word equation and a complete balanced chemical equation for the soda-lime process. I've looked all throughout my textbook, but couldn't really find anything other than descriptions of the reaction. Its water-softening processing involving sodium carbonate and calcium hydroxide, in which calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate are precipitated out. Any help?
