Overhead power lines in a backyard. Can anything to be done?

I was looking at a foreclosure property the other day, and there's one where the overhead power lines run above the middle of the backyards of this property and the ones near it. I think it's the worst eyesore of the property, though it wouldn't deter me from bidding. Can anything be done to persuade the electrical companies to do something in a case like this?
