Hives or Heat Rash? Please help!?

So after 4 or 5 days of high fevers and what I'm thinking was the flu now I am breaking out in what I think is hives. They are raised white bumps with red infamed surrounding that are hot to the touch and itch like crazy and they disappear and reappear in different spots. I've had them since yesterday. What helps in Aloe Vera and cold baths and ice. I just took an antihistamine and rubbed some cortisone on them and is waiting to see what happens. I was reading that Hives can occur from a viral infection or after an illness. I've never had hives before and I don't have any other allergy symptoms. So are these hives or heat rash or something else?
